Chie’s time with the Cannibal Court had been pleasant overall. Nothing to write home about, but neither could she complain. Every now and then she was able to attend a feast while all she had to do in return was carry out a few tasks for the group. A reasonable trade. She still hunted by herself of course, but she could always count on the Court for having ghouls to eat. Going through them was often easier than trying to feed on her own.
So naturally when a group of ghouls began targeting Cannibal Court members, Chie was sent out to investigate. Seeing as how she herself was a part of the court, it would only be a matter of time before some goons were sent her way. Better to get the drop on them first rather than the latter. There was a reason why the Cannibal Court still existed amongst the Aogiri and the CCG. And it was time that these wayward ghouls remembered why.
Cannibal Court members were spread all across the wards, making them hard to track down. This group of ghouls still managed it though, with their last attack being in the 19th ward. Judging from their attack patterns, they were hunting the members that lived a bit aways from Suginami. Smart since reinforcements would take a bit of time reaching them. Annoying as well, since they had a headstart on their getaway as Chie attempted to find clues of their whereabouts.
Currently she was searching an area that she thought they might attack from, all while being obvious in her investigation. She was bait. All on her lonesome, something hard to resist. Chie wasn’t sure if this plan would work because she wasn’t even sure they were still in the ward. All she could do was wait and see, but she had a feeling that these ghouls were still nearby, luring out of sight.
