Wiping the sweat that was dripping down her brow, Addy took a deep breath before continuing on her jog. Right now it was early morning, with the sun barely peeking its head out. The temperature was pleasant and a cool breeze was blowing through the area. It would no doubt warm up in a few hours, but by then Addy would be done with her workout and relaxing at home. Her current outfit was just something she had lying around the house, a sleeveless shirt and some shorts. Something cool and easy to move in. Her hair was wrapped up in a tall bun so that it was out of the way. She didn’t do this the last time she jogged and she regretted it. Having her hair smack her in the fast as she ran wasn’t that much of a fun experience. Regardless! She learned her lesson and her hair was in a nice messy wrap. The only minor annoyance was her sword strapped to her back. She had it in an inconspicuous rectangle box, since she couldn’t really walk around town with her Quinque out. Unfortunately the box was just long enough to smack the back of her leg everytime she moved. And it only became worse the faster her pace was. Still, Addy learned to ignore it. While the area she was jogging through wasn’t too dangerous, it wasn’t completely safe either. The odds of a ghoul attacking her was never zero, and she wanted to be prepared. It hadn’t happened yet, but that might be due to Cat rather than a ghoul not wanting to mess with her. Supposedly this was her friend’s hunting grounds so no other ghouls should be lurking about. She wasn’t too sure how that worked, but she’d trust her friend on the matter. ----------- Outfit:

Inconspicious in the way that she walked, soft footfalls making quaint and quiet sounds against the concrete path; the gentle rustle of a carrier bag swaying from side to side, and the deep-blue strands of long hair belonging to this woman, astray in the cold morning breeze. Tapping away at her phone, and not sparing much thought to anything around her, a smile warms up to her face as she reads a familiar message from a friend.
"I.. had fun too.." - "we should.. do this.. again." Were the choice words that the woman murmured to herself, speaking the reply that was to be sent in response to the person she had spent the prior evening with. Even though the morning chill whipped against her relatively tall and slender frame, the girl was like a fall leaf in the wind, a graceful motion to each of her steps, and a mellow joy to her complexion.
Lost in her own world, it was only until Addy were a few feet away from her that Kiyu in truth noticed the early-morning jogger approach; glancing up with her keen azure eyes, but not quite stopping her walk, and neither in time to move to the opposite side. Rustling and the clacking of various packaged food items signaled a glancing arm collision between the two, not enough to completely halt either of the individuals. Nonetheless, a few of her groceries had spilled from the stuffed carrier bag when the limbs of the two women had accidentally bumped into each other.
As the items fell to the ground, an expression of mild surprise was spread across the face of the deep-blue haired woman. "Sorry" - she said kindly and mannered out of courtesy to this stranger. Folding her thigh-length skirt under her legs as she went to crouch down, her beautifully wrapped red scarf contrasting the blue strands of her hair folded as she leaned forward to collect her items. All bundled up in a light jacket and woolen winter tights.

The feeling of jogging at your full strength was truly like no other. It filled Addy with a sense of excitement, a sense of adventure! To test her limits and see how fast she could truly go. To feel the pleasant burn of her muscles as she strengthened them. It was a fantastic experience. And one she got too caught up in. With her mind elsewhere, she didn’t notice the other woman in her way before it was too late.
Thanks to the two’s last second movements, Addy managed to only hit Nagase’s belonging, and not the woman herself. While the current outcome wasn’t the worst that could’ve happened, it still made Addy feel bad. Why hadn’t she been looking out in front of her? Of course there would be other people walking about, even at this time in the morning.
“Oh no! I am so sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going. I really should’ve seen you but I was going so fast and everything looked like a blur. And then I tried to stop once I saw you but it didn’t really work out cause of how fast I was going ya know and then we just kinda nudged each other. More like a slam thanks to my speed. Which is kinda like oof. I’m really really really sorry.”
Vomiting a slew of words in Nagase’s direction, Addy awkwardly helped the blue haired woman pick up her things. Judging from the contents, it looked like Nagase had been out grocery shopping. Feeling her heart sink, Addy began to check the food for any damage. Fruit and the like were pretty fragile. Did everything manage to survive the collision all right?
“Are you coming back from shopping? Don’t usually see people out here this early.”

Kiyu was calm and collected as she knelt down to collect her things; a stark contrast to the woman who she had bumped into, who was now frantically attempting to explain herself. To such a volume in fact, that her own apology had been all but washed out by the words of the woman. An elegant hand raised to her face, a slight chuckle left Kiyu as that same palm then reached for her scattered groceries, whilst Addy continued to explain herself.
The investigator had already managed to reclaim a few of her items, and then she noticed the athletic woman also kneel down to help her out. A warm and inviting smile remaining on Kiyu's expression; 'She is a kind-hearted girl, this one'. Whilst one of her hands grasped to tidy the strands of her hair hanging in front of her face, tucking the strays behind her ear, Addy might notice that the woman was looking at her, and not her groceries, with a kind and mellow gaze.
"That's quite alright, it was an accident, you have nothing to feel sorry for." Her voice was calm and collected, cleansing the ears like clear water on a still lake, an almost motherly inflection to her sweet melancholy. Kiyu resumed the process of collecting her groceries, presumably with the aid of Addy, it might only have took a few moments longer before she was made aware of the rectangular box she carried with her.
"A Quinque?" - the investigator noted in her mind immediately. It could have been something else, and anyone else could have made that assumption, but given that the item was closely associated with her profession... it was unlikely of her to make such a mistake. Kiyu was fairly certain, but nonetheless her expression did not change; it did not seem to bother her in the slightest. Most of all, she did not let the fact that she had noticed it on Addy's person show, beyond the very casual glance she had made at it.
Unlike Addy, Kiyu was not in possession of her Quinque; it was something she carried around exclusively for work. With a thankful and tender look on her face; softly curved eyebrows, a slight smile, gentle eyes. Kiyu, quite willing to stop for casual conversation, lifted herself to her feet in one smooth bend of the knees. "That's right. I needed to collect a few items for dinner tonight." It was a little bit sudden, but Kiyu believed in chance meetings like this, so she thought and suggested kindly; "Would you like to stop by later for a free meal?".

Thankfully all the groceries seemed to be in good condition. There were a few with new bumps and scrapes, but the food that lay inside them was still edible! And barely squished. Good on the little guys for surviving! Giving Kiyu an embarrassed smile as the older woman looked at her, Addy tried to calm her shaking hands. She just had so much energy! Some from the jog, some from her nervousness, and some from just herself. Yet she had to be still! Too many fragile things in her vicinity. She'd hate to damage them anymore than she already had.
“Yeah I know, I still feel bad.” Kiyu was nice and understanding. Quite the surprise as she hadn't really expected it. Sure Addy herself wouldn’t be that mad in her situation, but she understood not everyone was as understanding as her. If Kiyu decided to yell at her, Addy would just sit there and take it, since she was at fault. Luckily for her, she didn’t have to deal with any of that.
Pushing herself up with a jump, Addy beamed a boisterous smile at Kiyu and looked at her with sparkling eyes. “Oh gosh, really? I’d be delighted. But are you sure? We only just met and I don’t want to be a bother.” While the invitation was enticing, Addy didn’t know if she deserved it. First she almost destroyed Kiyu’s food, and now she was being offered to eat it? It just felt a little weird.
“My name’s Addy by the way. What’s yours if you don’t mind me asking? I’m also something of a chef myself if you require any assistance. My friends all say I make the best sweets.” Sticking out her muscular arm, Addy offered her potential friend a handshake. If accepted, she would lightly grasp Kiyu’s hand and give it a gentle shake. Addy knew just how much power her body possessed, and she knew the exact strength she needed to use in order to make this whole exchange pleasant.
