Waiting by the reception desk back in HQ, Setsuko took a deep breath as she scrolled through her phone. Above all else, one thing she tended to struggle with was social interaction. Knowing full-well that the lack of such interaction was no way for her to life her life, she needed to put herself out there. To get involved with other people. Hiding away in her workshop all the time was a terrible idea, especially when she needed to focus on building relationships with her fellow Investigators. Forming bonds like that was naturally the best way to get to know how someone operated on the field.
As such, when she'd agreed to meet someone for coffee, she knew what she was getting into. She was putting herself into a vulnerable situation to be meeting someone new, but nonetheless, it was a risk she needed to take. While certainly content with staying in her shell, Setsu knew better than anyone that she couldn't exactly keep going like this. Change needed to happen, whether she wanted it or not. Looking around, she tried to see if she could spot the woman she was going to be meeting today. It was genuinely hard to say when she didn't really know what the girl looked like.
Sure, record information like that on other Investigators was generally public-access for other members of the CCG, but she'd forgotten to mark down on her schedule to check any of that out. As such, she left herself in a somewhat uncomfortable position without knowing really anything about the woman. She'd have to beat herself up over that later, though; today was going to be... fun. She was going to do what she could to enjoy her time today, and get to know someone new. Even if it was only one person, those baby steps were going to be what helped her move forward in time.

Sitting at the table in front of her was something that Shioon for the most part wasn't really enjoying. This was turning out to be an afternoon that could be a complete waste. A little recommendation from a senior investigator that she just had to listen too. That was how it all started and now it seemed like so many others, Shioon should have just blown off the words. He'd told her that while she was working for the CCG she should make it a point to work alongside some of the other new investigators like herself otherwise the high ups might have some sort of issue with her down the line if she just wasn't known or didn't like to work with the others. Shioon knew she wasn't the sort to change how she felt about working with someone else, but didn't want it to effect her potential rank in the company so despite how much she hated it she had reached out to one of the other female investigators that had started a short time ago.
They'd set the time for midday and Shioon although rare had actually gotten here first. That wasn't really the best of things though as she was someone to get very impatient the very moment that she was out of control. Although this was suppose to be just a little get together in order to meet someone else all Shioon could think about right now was making a break for it and going down the one of the training rooms. She still wasn't all that pleased with her handling of her Quinque and knew that another dozen hours of handling the massive hilt would do her some justice once she could turn it on a Ghoul.
She had come dressed in the large white coat that signified her as an investigator for the simple fact that she was at HQ yet being inside the building was starting to take a toll. The large coat reminding her that even though she was inside a building with a regulated temperature her body didn't handle heat all that well. It was because of this that Shioon unbuttoned her coat revealing underneath that she was only wearing her black leather combat bra showing off her incredibly tone mid section and massive breasts. Virtually everyone else in the area was drawn to her with either looks of jealousy or allure.
Shioon sat her eyes closed and arms crossed over her chest waiting impatiently for this Fujikawa person to arrive so that she could just talk for a bit and get a good cup of coffee.

Staring down at her phone once more, Setsuko started to go through the public records on the woman she was supposed to meet up with. Scrolling through, she found a miss Shioon; she'd recognized that name. This had to be the woman she was going to meet today, right? She went further into the woman's record, and took in her fellow Investigator's appearance. She certainly wasn't going to be someone that didn't stick out, that much was for sure. She seemed rather... well-endowed, for lack of a better term, in an area that Setsuko seemed to be rather lacking. She sighed. This was going to be a rather interesting meeting.
As if right on queue, that same woman seemed to walk into the reception area. She turned her head to watch her walk in, and ultimately wasn't surprised. She'd seemed to be just as well-off as the pictures of her seemed to show. Great. She waited a few short moments before approaching the girl, trying to work up the courage to say something to her. Seemed as though that was the worst possible choice she could've made for the time, as before she worked up the courage to say much of anything, Shioon was already unbuttoning her coat. Lord, could things have gotten any more awkward?
Facing her fears, she realized she'd need to say something sooner rather than later if she was ever going to actually do something about this. Taking a deep breath, Setsu made her way over to the woman. "Hello there," she started, "it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm guessing you're Shioon? I'm the one who agreed to meet with you for coffee; Setsuko Fujikawa. I'd like to apologize in advance, I'm not the greatest with words; you'll have to forgive me." She chuckled. "So, if you don't mind my asking, what drew you to the Commission for Counter Ghoul? It's interesting to see where everyone lies, so I'd like to know, if you're willing to indulge a selfish question. Naturally, no pressure to answer."

It only took a few more moments after Shioon had unbuttoned her coat for the miss Fujikawa to make herself known, slightly taller, but definitely had a blind eye turned on her by God. Shioon, standing from the chair that she had sat down in, decided to play nice like she had been instructed by the senior investigator and extended her hand out to shake with the fragile looking woman. Although she had been already able to see it plainly on Fujikawa’s face, actually feeling it throughout her hand just confirmed it more, this girl was incredibly nervous. “Another that can’t stand my coat open?” Shioon ponders to herself not sure whether this was another woman who was jealous or attracted like most men, either way it didn’t matter.
Dressed in the usual attire of a cubicle worker Shioon wasn’t really sure if Fujikawa was really an investigator, the way she dressed wasn’t striking enough and fighting in that sort of clothing would be so unbearable. Shioon sat back down in her seat after shaking hands with her and then listened to everything that Fujikawa spit like word vomit. “You seem to be fine with words considering how many you just unleashed. Is the language new to you?” Shioon raises her left hand to the barista signaling as she indicates with two fingers and a slight turn of her wrist the coffee she would like to be delivered to her table. One issue though Shioon wasn’t sure if the barista delivered and just assumed.
Shioon sighs at the question that was asked of her. “Going right for the incredibly important and thought provoking things huh? Not where I grew up or my favorite color? Fine, I’m here because I need to be. It’s as simple as that, if I’m not here then I’m a part of the problem. Now it's my turn.” Shioon for a moment pauses with a devilish curve at the edge of her lips. “Are you still in training? I’m not sure they make anything else for someone of your size. You should get some coffee, it might help you with your nerves otherwise you're likely to start fidgeting.”

Setsuko gave an awkward chuckle after Shioon spoke. "Um," she started nervously, "I'd like to think I'm somewhat well-acclimated, even if English isn't exactly my first language, haha. Though I guess you'd be a better judge of that than I am, huh?" She gently tapped her chin with her index finger. After taking a moment to ponder, Setsuko went on to ask her question like she'd originally intended to do. It was what she pretty much asked everyone on first meeting; she found that it seemed to sum up someone's personality quite quickly. Those that had a more aggressive approach to their problems tended to say they were in it for the hunt. Others might've said they wanted to protect; those that did were usually more kindhearted spirits. She wanted to see where Shioon stood.
Despite the slight protests, Shioon seemed to answer relatively quickly. "Fine, I’m here because I need to be. It’s as simple as that, if I’m not here then I’m a part of the problem. Now it's my turn.” Setsuko nodded, taking in the girl's answer. Seemed she was business-oriented. Someone that liked to get results from her actions, with a bit of protection over the general populace. She could only hope her sizing up of the girl was accurate as it seemed Shioon was looking to throw her own question toward her. “Are you still in training? I’m not sure they make anything else for someone of your size. You should get some coffee, it might help you with your nerves otherwise you're likely to start fidgeting.”
Setsu once again chuckled at Shioon's comment. "I, uh, I am still in training at the moment, yes. I can't particularly say I'm one for close-ranged combat, so it's been a bit longer than I would've liked before actually being able to set out on my own. I'm much more acclimated with a gun, personally." Looking around, and trying to find some sort of menu hanging by the counter, Setsu simply nodded. "That's probably not a bad idea honestly; I'll be right back!" And with that, she hopped out of her seat, and briskly walked over to the front counter, ordering herself a drink.
When she came back, she'd been holding something rather extravagant; some sort of frozen drink that not even Setsuko knew what it was. The only thing she knew about it was the fact that it seemed to taste pretty good. Sitting back down, Setsu decided to speak in between each sip. "So, uh, how about you?" She asked, "are you still training too? Or have you been out into the field yet? If so, what's that like? I've heard that being able to see firsthand the kinds of things that go on around Tokyo give a sort of humbling feeling to most Investigators, do you think there's truth to that?"

“You’re not bad, just not something I’d say someone who claims to be bad with words can do.”
Shioon being more than a little critical at the moment was very obvious. An abrasive young woman that didn’t get along with anyone else, that pretty much fit the description of Shioon to anyone that went physically attracted to her. Never one to mince words or be nice just for the sake of it, Shioon was already starting to showcase that she wasn’t the sort that liked false words and claiming to be something your not didn’t sit well with her.
Her question though like the thorns on the shaft of a rose didn’t sting Fujikawa though. She’d shot a loaded question at the girl and yet it seemed this one bent over and dodged the bullet by allowing it to go right over her head. Fujikawa said she asked questions in order to learn more about others, well Shioon at this point knew one thing for certain about her lunch partner. Fujikawa was the biggest airhead she’s met since moving to Japan!
Over the next couple of minutes Fujikawa had gone to the counter and gotten her drink while Shioon’s had been delivered to the table. A paper cup that only held maybe twenty ounces of fluid with a guard around it to prevent the heat from affecting her temperature. She’d only take a sip or two by the time Fujikawa sat back down at the table. One more suited to using a gun when in combat told Shioon that this girl definitely wasn’t the confident sort when she filed in all the other info learned so far.
“I’ve finished my official training here, but one never stops getting better. If we allow ourselves to stay content than we lose, one must always strive for improvement. Also I wasn’t asking about combat training. I wasn’t looking to ask something so official from the start, remember?” Shioon said in a more joking way as she lifted up her right hand and pointed at Fujikawa’s chest. Making it very clear what her question had been about.

Setsuko cocked her head upon hearing Shioon's comment about her English. "Thank... you? I'm sorry, I'm not exactly sure if that was supposed to be a compliment." From there, the conversation continued, with Shioon making a comment that went right over the girl's head. From there, Setsuko got up, got her drink, and sat back down where she asked her question. “I’ve finished my official training here, but one never stops getting better. If we allow ourselves to stay content than we lose, one must always strive for improvement. Also I wasn’t asking about combat training. I wasn’t looking to ask something so official from the start, remember?”
Watching the woman point to herself, Setsuko's face lit up like she'd just uncovered the secrets of the universe. "Oh!" she exclaimed, "that's entirely my bad, I suppose I thought you meant something combative." She took a moment to chuckle, before continuing on to comment on what the woman had both said and done. "I suppose you're right in that regard, though. I can't say I've really nearly as uh.... much, as you do, if you get what I'm trying to say. Though, I can't say I envy you; the back pains you must deal with, that sounds a little more than it might be worth for me."
Taking another sip from her drink, she continued on to speak. "Your earlier comment did provoke a level of interest from me, though; might I ask where you're from? Your accent seems to be, uh... different. Not to say that's a bad thing, but it's definitely a point of interest. Also! If you don't mind my asking, what did you happen to order? It's drinks like these that definitely make me glad I'm not fully like those... flesh-eaters. Nasty little vermin." With that, Setsuko felt a shiver run through her back. In truth, she truly was grateful for that fact. While sure, she wasn't fond of her heritage, she did realize that it absolutely could've been worse.
Looking around, Setsuko seemed to take in the atmosphere of the area. She enjoyed the liveliness that places like this seemed to resonate; a serene smile rose to her face in due time as she awaited a response from the well-endowed woman. "I've got to say, I love areas like this. Places with bustling amounts of people, I only wish I could more easily talk to the lot of them. You know? Talking to people is... well, it's hard. I can't say I'm uh, too fond of that fact. As such, I'd absolutely like to thank you for putting up with me thus far." She chuckled to herself out of embarrassment.

“It’s more that I don’t believe you’re bad with words. You’re not stumbling along or taking long pauses.”
Well this hadn’t been nearly as much fun as Shioon had been hoping, the little bit of a blush that reddened Fujikawa’s face wasn’t as big a reaction as Shioon had been expecting. She knew from the little bit they had spoken that she wasn’t likely the type that would get offended and start yelling. Still she’d thought perhaps that she’d try to cover herself or make some comment about how she could still be growing. In the end though it seems despite being embarrassed and self conscious about the topic she wasn’t the sort to be jealous.
“If someone like these could cause back problems then I wouldn’t be able to handle facing a Ghoul. It’s all about the muscles in your back. If they’re strong enough then they feel no different than yours although staying under the radar isn’t something I’m able to do normally.” Through her little speech Shioon looked down at her chest the massive orbs of flesh gracing the cafe. The fact she was in her leather bra definitely had attracted the eyes of several men, both sitting in the cage and walking throughout the floor. Shioon had already seen one man walk by the same way twice just trying to catch some side view.
“My family is from Seoul, South Korea. I grew up after they’d moved though in America. As for my accent, that's just from constant travel growing up. More a mixture of places I’ve been than any specific place.” The conversation was starting to go quite well and Shioon honestly was getting along better than she would have thought with only one thing irritating her about Fujikawa. That is until the meek girl mentioned something that caused a twitch under Shioon’s left eye and the grip on her cup to tighten.
Suddenly the entire aura around Shioon would change, shifting from a carefree attitude mixed in with that very same attitude of a model to a dark threatening output. Her head angled down slightly, her eyes would be hidden for a moment only for her to lift a bit and show her intense staring at Fujikawa. She wasn’t looking at her like a person now, but something like an abomination. “What’d you just say? Fully like them?”

Upon hearing Shioon's comment about back muscles, she'd made a mental note of the fact. Seemed like Shioon was absolutely the type to keep up a constant workout, if that were the case. While Setsu definitely wasn't the type to do so, she absolutely respected the grind to keep in good shape. Setsuko simply never enjoyed the push to stay physically adept; sure, she was absolutely in better shape than most, but that was only because it was required per the CCG; from her comments alone, she knew Shioon had to be an echelon above the standard Investigator, or at the very least, Setsuko.
As the conversation continued, Setsuko started to actually enjoy talking to someone else for once, and it didn't even have to be about something she was super interested in! Shioon seemed to just be an enjoyable person to talk to, and she absolutely liked that. Though, it seemed she was somewhat set off by something she'd said. Her grip tightened around her cup, looking like she was going to pop it if she wasn't careful. Before she could really take a chance to ponder what she'd said to cause such an awful glare to come from the woman, it seemed Shioon was inclined to answer that question for her. “What’d you just say? Fully like them?”
Setsuko simply shrugged and nonchalantly spoke up. "Yeah," she said, pausing to take a sip from her drink, "I'm half-Ghoul. Parents were nutcases and decided that Humans and Ghouls could coexist, and ended up having me, probably hoping that I could be raised to agree with them. Well, surprise surprise, my waste of space of a Father showed me from quite the early age that Ghouls are nothing more than animalistic monsters that deserve to be put down like the dogs they are." From those looking on, the fact that she was saying such things with as unbothered a tone as she was practically guaranteed her a few strange looks.
"Needless to say, I was 'cursed' thanks to them, and I uh, kind of hate myself every day because of it. Ultimately I'd like to put down my Father for being the reason I exist in between both worlds, without having an option to really do anything about it. I can absolutely promise you though, I'm on your side. Whether you decide to believe that or not, however, is entirely your call. I've no reason to force something of such severity down your throat, nor will I hold your own standing against you." Setsuko shrugged, before trying to take another sip of her drink, quickly turning disappointed upon realizing that it was empty.

One thing was for certain it was a good thing for Fujikawa that Shioon’s large rectangular briefcase was at the bottom of her chair on the right side. If it had been on her back or in her lap then actually getting a chance to answer with her own words would have been highly unlikely. Even right now Shioon fought the urge of every cell in her body to unleash the long sword of silver against the filth sitting across from her. At this range she could easily slice through her neck and end the vermin right here!
Shioon couldn’t even be brought to have a moment of confusion or surprise with how nonchalantly Fujikawa spoke about her own existence. All she could see in front of her was one of the things she existed to hunt. That didn’t keep Shioon from hearing what Fujikawa was saying though and as she finished giving the reason for her being an existence of corrupted filth, the busty beauty leaned back in her chair with a sigh. Everyone in the cafe stressed now unsure what to do with the women that were definitely making a scene.
“Never met a half breed that hates just one side before. Usually your kind either accepts both or hates both.” Shioon leaning forward comes to a conclusion and extends out with her left hand. It would be obvious that she was intending to shake Fujikawa’s hand. Although Shioon in the state of mind she was in now didn’t realize her chest was pressed against the table and that happened to just shift the aura of the cafe a bit in a direction much less serious.
“If you mean what you say then I’ll give you the chance to prove it. We’re going hunting.”
Shioon would pull Fujikawa in hard against the table though making sure Fujikawa got that this was a threat. “If you give me even a fragment of a reason to believe you’re not how you claim then I’ll end you like any other.”

Even though she quite easily picked up on Shioon's unease over the whole situation, she didn't really move in relation to the girl's emotions. Where it stood, Setsuko seemed pretty emotionally barren under most circumstances. Was it due to trauma? Her just being naturally ditzy? Perhaps a combination of both? It seemed that even she herself hadn't really understood why. Either way, she still continued through the conversation, showing just as much emotion as she had through most of the time she'd spent talking to Shioon, as though she hadn't revealed something that could've had gotten her killed by very nature of the situation.
As she finished speaking, and Shioon leaned back with a sigh, Setsuko simply cocked her head. "I'm guessing you're not too familiar with the Q-Squad, then? There's a few others that are... similar to me. Most of them are artificial half-ghouls; those that have had a Kakuhou implanted into them by the CCG's finest. I'm one of... I think two naturally-born Half-Ghouls here? It's hard to say, honestly, I haven't really taken the time to fully meet the squad. Ah, well." As she finished speaking, Shioon seemed to follow in suit, and held her hand out. Without hesitation, Setsuko took the girl's hand with minimal force, and gave her a solid handshake, all the while maintaining full eye-contact.
“If you mean what you say then I’ll give you the chance to prove it. We’re going hunting.” Almost immediately after the word 'hunting' was mentioned, Setsuko's face lit up just as brightly as it had earlier. "Gladly so!" she exclaimed, a sort of giddiness to her for the time, "I could absolutely use more field experience, and what better way to do so than working alongside someone such as yourself?" As she was going to stand up from excitement, she quickly realized she was being pulled in by the woman that seemed to be a fair bit stronger than she was.
“If you give me even a fragment of a reason to believe you’re not how you claim then I’ll end you like any other.” Setsuko felt the need to speak, and as such, she did. Granted, she didn't mean what she said as a threat, but simply as a comment on her own position within the CCG. "You're more than welcome to, and frankly I wouldn't stop you, but I am a Natural Half-Ghoul; I'm in full control of myself, twenty-four seven. I don't "frame-out" like artificial Half-Ghouls, so just note that uh, killing me might be taken as an act of treason. So, might not be the best option, you know? Regardless, I'm looking forward to being able to work alongside you, Shioon!"
