Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, Chie kept an eye out for potential prey. The day was waning, leading into the night with all that it brought with it. Due to the approaching darkness, her actions would be concealed. It’d be easier to move around without problem. Easier to hunt. Hence why this was her favorite time to go out and do things! There were places to explore, people to eat, things to do! So much she wanted to happen, but so little time. Today she was wearing an outfit that resembled the one of someone she had eaten a while ago. She had hesitated when doing the deed, as she was quite impressed with her prey’s fashion style. Unfortunately Chie was hungry, so into her belly the woman went. Still, it wasn’t all too bad as her sense of fashion would live on within her. T’was the least she could do. For tonight, movement was the name of the game. She wanted to be fast. Nimble. Like a mouse. Or a spider. Skittering to wherever she needed to go. Therefore, she was wearing clothing that wasn’t too restrictive. On her head she wore a black bow with black earrings dangling down from both her ears. Below this was a choker and a pink off shoulder long sleeved shirt that showed off a bit of her toned stomach. While the color pink was still a bit eye-catching, Chie enjoyed how the color looked, so she thought it was worth wearing. And finishing off this ensemble was a black dress with similarly colored sneakers. One of her favorite outfits. Resting her feet on the edge of the building she was on, Chie extended her senses to the max as she perched like a gargoyle. She had always been sensitive, even since she was young. At first it had been annoying to deal with, but overtime she learned to turn it into an advantage. She could already hear heartbeats even now. She just needed to find one beating alone, and then she could proceed from there. Just what exactly would this night bring her? ~~~ {Outfit}

Ah, Suginami had always been an enjoyable place to hang around! It wasn't often that Momoko had found a dull moment in the bustling area. Quite a number of towns within the area alone had been rather enjoyable to spend a few hours in where she could. And, while today wasn't exactly a shopping day for her, she was taking every opportunity she could in order to look around.
She hadn't exactly planned on spending any money, so there wasn't an inherent need to bring much with her; just a couple hundred yen had been more than enough for her for the day. A small snack for lunch was really all she needed; given her natural socialite attitude, it hadn't been hard to convince someone to share that meal with her. Well, more accurately, be that meal. Nonetheless, though, quick meal in daylight aside, she enjoyed her time quite a bit for the day.
Alas, however, all good things do eventually come to an end. For Nakatani, that meant it was time for her to return back home. While not quite "higher-up" within the Cannibal Court, she still held a rather worthwhile spot, and needed to do what she could in order to maintain that. Tomorrow specifically, her and a few others had a dinner to prepare. Though, Nakatani had done what she'd always done best; put such preparations off until the day of!
Humming a soft tune to herself while she swayed to-and-fro down the sidewalk, the woman took in the sights of the quieting district around her. Hopefully she'd have the opportunity to run into someone that could've made tomorrow's evening easier? Only time could really tell. One thing was for certain, though; she was looking forward to what the night had held.

Sighing in annoyance, Chie watched as another couple passed by below her. What was up with people these days traveling safely in groups? Where was their sense of adventure? The urge to take needless risks? This was what was wrong with society nowadays.
The more time that passed, the more Chie’s annoyance grew. Was she going to have to risk taking out two people at once? It’d be a waste, since she was only hungry enough for one person. And not even the entire person. Maybe a little over half if she had to guess? And she hated wasting food, so this was an avenue she didn't particularly want to go down.
Before she could decide on her next plan of action, she noticed a single heartbeat down below her. Was this what she was looking for? Following the pink haired woman below her, Chie eyed the street she was walking on. In about half a minute, the woman would pass by an alleyway, and if she was quick enough she’d be able to pull her out of sight. But if she wanted to do it, she’d need to act now!
Bolting off the roof and onto another one, Chie dashed towards the nearby alleyway. Sliding down the cracked wall with ease, the ghoul made her way to a particularly dark patch of shadow. Emerging from the back of her waist in a splurge of red, Chie’s kagune waved through the air like a cobra. Hypnotic and dangerous. The moment the woman passed her, she’d grab her with her tail before tossing her deeper into the alley. Out of range for those walking on the main street to hear. Not that great of an ambush tactic, but one that would have to do.

See, Nakatani had been minding her own business. It wasn't often that she got to enjoy a day out, after all. What, with all of the Doves making themselves readily apparent across almost every ward nowadays. She sighed in discontent with the fact. Couldn't she get just one day to herself? She'd thought that everything had been going well thus far, but that was about to change very quickly.
Still holding tight onto her bags as she was grabbed and subsequently thrown down into a nearby alley, Nakatani took a moment to catch herself. As she came in contact with the ground, rolled for a short second, and hit the back of the alley with minimal impact, she let out a soft huff. It hadn't been hard to tell that she'd just been ambushed by a Ghoul; an animal didn't have that kind of strength, and there was no way that some Dove was going to take her into an alley like that.
Taking to her feet, and standing proud, Momoko sized up her assailant. "Oh, my my my~" she spoke, her voice softly echoing within the small alley, "it seems as though someone's picked quite the fight~!" Running a single hand through her hair as to take it out of her face, she stared down Chie from the other end of the alley. By this point, her kakugan had fully-manifested, making those jet black eyes readily apparent. Though, her kagune had remained to be seen.
Slowly strolling up closer to the ghoul that had chosen to make a violent first impression, Momoko continued to examine the girl as she could. With a wide, shit-eating grin plastering itself across her face, Momoko spoke once more. "Hmm~" she hummed, placing a single finger to her chin, "dear me, it seems you might be a bit... familiar~!"
As she began to pace around Chie painstakingly slowly, circling the girl like an animal circles its prey, she leaned in close as she stood behind the girl. "Perhaps you might share your name with me~?"

As her victim flipped gracefully through the air and landed on her feet, Chie let out a heavy sigh. Yet again she fucked up. The last time she went out for food, she had a whole altercation with another ghoul. Sure she won, but she had only wanted to eat at that time and was forced to suffer through several injuries after. And unfortunately it seemed the trend of her shit luck was continuing. It was quite obvious the pink haired woman was one of her own kind. No other creature could move like that.
Her hypothesis was proven as a fact mere moments later when Momoko’s eyes turned to jet black. Her Kagune wasn’t visible, but Chie didn’t really need anymore evidence to know she messed up. As the ghoul moved closer to her with a grin, she readied herself for a fight. Not only did she grab a ghoul, but she grabbed one that showed no fear. That could mean one of two things, overconfidence or assurance in their own strength. She doubted it was the former, based on the movements she had seen. Her recovery was a little too graceful for that.
“Yeah….didn’t mean to grab you. I was just a little hungry, you know? No hard feelings?” Leaning her head back slightly, Chie looked the ghoul up and down as she thought about the response she was given. She seemed familiar? Where would the two have met? She had no recollection of this woman. If she did, this whole situation wouldn’t have happened.
“Chie. And yours?”
Standing stock still, Chie waited stiffly as Momoko circled around her. Wrapping her kagune around herself protectively, she allowed the head of it to follow Momoko. She was a little at fault for straight up yoinking another ghoul, even if she hadn’t known what they were at the time. She also didn’t want to fight at this particular moment, so she was playing safe. A fight would only make her food situation even worse.

“Yeah… didn’t mean to grab you. I was just a little hungry, you know? No hard feelings?”
A small laugh sounding from the girl, Momoko circled back around to Chie's front, and crossed her arms. That same smile remained plastered across her face. "'No hard feelings~?' Mm, I suppose I can agree with that~" Taking a few steps back, and gently leaning against the wall, she kept her eyes on Chia as the girl answered her question. “Chie. And yours?”
Debating to herself for a moment as to whether or not she should share her name with the girl, Momoko remained silent for a short bit. Though, it seemed that her desire to share outweighed what she thought would otherwise benefit her if she didn't say anything. "Momoko Nakatani. Pleased to meet you, Miss Chie~"
"Just... One quick question for you," she spoke, still leaning against her wall as she saw fit, "you know where you are right now, right~? The territory you're currently hunting within~?" Pushing herself off the wall she rested on, Nakatani once again closed the distance between herself and Chie. Not quite getting in her face, but still making herself close enough to whisper to the girl, Nakatani did so.
"This area's owned by the Court, Dearest Chie~ If you're not careful, the hunter might end up the hunted, if you're catching my drift~" With another sly smile, Nakatani stood back up straight, simply waiting for some kind of answer from Chie. Would she stand her ground? Would she step back? Momoko was dying to find out.

Puffing herself up to look intimidating, Chie bristled in annoyance as Momoko circled her. The woman was dangerous, she could feel it in her gut. And the anticipation of what she might do was making her nervous. Jittery. Her fight or flight response was going haywire, and she was trying her best to ignore it. To settle her nerves This was just a simple conversation. Sure it was a little high stakes at the current moment, but it would be fine. As long as she kept telling herself this, surely everything would work out?
Momoko Nakatani was the other ghoul’s name, and all Chie did was give her a small nod in response. She wasn’t quite sure if she was happy that Momoko was the one she grabbed, so Chie didn’t return the greeting. The smile she wore was ominous, almost slightly off kilter. Chie had a sneaking suspicion that Momoko’s sanity had left her long ago. Best to not poke the bear if that was the case.
“Yeah. I’m with the Cannibal Court so it shouldn’t matter. What about you?” Glaring at Momoko suspiciously, Chie wondered if she made the right move. Not telling her allegiance wasn’t going to work, but telling it also had its own set of problems. Was the ghoul in front of her part of the Cannibal Court, or was it just an act to get information from Chie? She didn’t know, so she’d just have to go full speed ahead and deal with whatever occurred thanks to her actions.

Chucking to herself in amusement, Nakatani nodded her head in response to Chie's words. "So, that's why you seem so familiar~!" She exclaimed, though trying to keep her voice somewhat low given that they were currently within an alley, "and here I thought you were just a pretty face~" As her words finished, the girl stretched, and took a few more steps back from Chie in order to give her some space.
"Well, you've lucked out, miss Chie~" Sitting herself down against the ground, and crossing her legs, she gently patted the concrete as to motion for the girl to follow her and sit down in turn. Would she? Truth be told Nakatani was quite interested in seeing if that was the case, but she wasn't going to pressure the girl. Not after she'd just made a new friend; that just wouldn't be right.
Tilting her head, and once again meeting the girl with another question about herself, Momoko placed her hands gently on her lap. "So what brings you to Suginami~? I know you said you're Court, but surely there's got to be a little more than that, hmm~?" All the while, that same, dumb smile persisted across her lips. Though, it wasn't anything forced; it was just as though the girl had always maintained one regardless of the situation at hand.

“Lucked out huh.” Watching Momoko sit on the cold concrete, Chie shrugged her shoulders before following suit. In for a penny, in for a pound. There wasn’t much she could do about this volatile situation besides ride it out. Maybe it would work out, maybe it wouldn’t. Only one way to find out.
“I’m just hungry really. Nothing too specific brought me here. I’m more of a wanderer you know?” Adjusting her kagune so she could sit on it comfortably, Chie glanced towards the entrance of the alleyway as she spoke. She wasn’t really a woman on a mission, unless you counted food searching as a valid goal. Alas, there was nothing more to it than that. Nothing as enticing as Momoko was making her trip seem.
“And what about you? Only nice to answer my question now as well.” Squinting at Momoko, Chie pondered her situation. She didn’t miss the fact that Momoko hadn’t stated her allegiance yet. Yes there were hints that she was related to the Cannibal Court, but it was interesting that she didn’t outright say it. Was there a reason for such a thing?
