"Whenever you two are ready, show me what you're made of." It seems that Adelina's suspicions were correct. She would have to demonstrate that her words carried some weight behind them. As the operative took a few steps backward, the girls' eyes immediately shifted to the Half-Ghoul beside her. The girl was already preparing herself. Taking up a stance that Adelina didn't recognize, the ghouls' eyes focused on the woman. Setsuko's kakugan had awakened revealing the pitch-black sclera.
"So it begins, huh?" Part of Adelina was truly excited. She had teased... and egged on this girl so much. Setsuko had demonstrated that she had quite the temper. The ghoul was fascinated to see what this girl had in her. Seemingly remaining cautious, Setsuko did not seem to make a move. She did not deviate from her stance. Adelina couldn't help, but smirk under her own mask. "Tch. How typical of them?"
Just as Adelina had revealed herself as an Ukaku ghoul, so had Setsuko shown herself to be a Koukaku ghoul. Whereas the former was known for its agility and ruthless barrage, Koukaku ghouls were the opposite. Study and possessing incredible endurance, Adelina recognized that she had to be careful with this one. She paused for a moment and then closed her eyes. After a few moments, upon opening them, the kakugan had taken root in both of her eyes.
Complementing her eyes, Adelina's upper back had begun bubbling once more. Just as before, two bright yellow wings, resembling those of a butterfly, revealed themselves once more. She idly ran her hair through her hair and chuckled softly. "Mmm, so all I have to do is play with the little halfling?~" Adelina had already made it clear that she didn't think much of anything, but full-blooded ghouls. This would likely be of no surprise, but it was certainly a bit of an attempt to get her riled up. "Well. Let's see what you can do!"
Adelina swiftly rushed into action. Dashing forward with rather impressive speed, a trait seen often in Ukaku ghouls, Adelina quickly took the offensive. The initial attack wasn't anything too fancy. A simple elbow strike to the chest. However, this was all merely a feint. Before fully following through, Adelina shifted her weight. Using her speed to her advantage, she drew back and tried to pivot around Adelina into a blind spot. Now, hopefully a more advantageous position, the ghoul crouched and brought her Kaguna around her waist to strike at Setsuko's base with it.
Why would she do this? Koukaku were sturdy, but they left much to be desired in agility. Whether Setsuko proved to possess this shortcoming would reveal itself soon, but for now she'd strike at the girls' roots in an aim to trip the girl. Should this prove successful, Adelina would swiftly follow up and try to crash her knee cruelly into the girls' chest. This, after all, was no mere hunt. It was a battle to prove her mastery over herself. To display the raw ferocity that she could offer Aogiri. Anybody in the way of that would be mercilessly trampled without a second thought!

{Character Traits}Natural Insulator - [Upgrades from "Electrophoretic"] - Through continuous exposure to electricity, your body has adapted to it even more. When struck by electricity of any kind, the body disperses the electric current far more efficiently than before, hindering its destructive potential. Wounds suffered from electricity are reduced by 2 Ranks and paralysis by electricity is entirely negated.
Bio-Battery - Futhering her mastery over lightning, Adelina has learned how to fuel her own body using electricity. If an electric current runs through Adelina's body, natural or artificial, she can turn it into an electric impulse to be used by her nervous system, gaining 3 Stamina. Adelina still receives any wounds that she would otherwise receive from the electricity.
If a foreign source of electricity doesn't exist, Adelina can instead elect to utilize the static charge produced by her Kagune. Upon releasing her Kagune, Adelina gains a # of Static Charges equal to her Potency, starting at 1 for C Rank. She may consume one of these charges to regain 3 stamina. Adelina can regain Static Charges focusing an electric current from her Kagune through her body or being struck by electricity. A Static Charge may only be consumed once per post.
Bio-Battery possesses a key weakness. To get the most out of it, Adelina has to be struck by electric-charged attacks. While she possesses a natural resistance to it, she isn't able to withstand significant punishment. Generating a single Static Charge through her own means requires Adelina to charge her body for about 5 - 6 seconds without moving in any significant manner. Finally, upon using a Static Charge or generating one herself, the electricity forms a wound equal to her Potency.
{ Kagune} RC Type: Ukaku [↑ Speed | ↓ Strength] { Kagune Appearance}  - The Kagune has adapted its RC Cells to produce a static electricity. Melee attacks with this static electricity produce a small electric shock that make the afflicted body part more difficult to move. When the Kagune is crystallized, the shards produced by this Kagune carry the static electricity which emulate the feeling of numbness. Thunderblight can inflict wounds based on the user's Potency, minus two, to a minimum of C-Rank. Identical to "Simple Element".

"Mmm, so all I have to do is play with the little halfling?~ Well. Let's see what you can do!" She didn't feel the need to comment on what Ade had said. Wouldn't've done her any good, and would've only sought to provoke the girl; which, given she had no idea what this Ghoul was capable of? Might not have been the most sound of strategies. Though, it seemed that Adelina was full-well going to take advantage of Setsuko's rather defensive plans. As she prepared to close the distance, looking to go for a close-ranged strike, Setsuko squinted her eyes in curious contemplation. She was a Ukaku Ghoul, no? Just what was she doing? Until she could more accurately figure that out, she decided against manifesting her Kagune. After all, it was only going to slow her down against a faster opponent. Looking to meet her assailant head-on, Setsuko threw her arm forward to try to strike at the Ghoul, looking to meet her blow-for-blow as best she could. Given she didn't exactly have the speed advantage here, she only hoped to be able to strike a bit harder than Adelina could. Though, it seemed the answer to that was a resounding 'yes', given Adelina hadn't even gone for a strike! At least, not at that moment. As the Ghoul pivoted around her, aiming to get behind her, Setsuko had known quite quickly that she was going to be in for a bit of a rough time. This girl was quick. As was expected from a Ukaku Ghoul, but lord; she was going to need to push herself quite a bit if she wanted to keep up. A point that made itself ever closer to the truth as she braced from Adelina striking against her back. Lurching forward, and turning herself around in the process, Setsuko noticed that Adelina was going in for another strike; she wasn't going to let herself be caught off-guard if she could help it. Though, there wasn't much of a choice here. The girl would have to take the attack in order to launch one back of her own. Pulling her fist back, and following through with her punch just after Adelina's knee connected with her abdomen, Setsuko found her fist meeting Adelina's face; a potent parry, aiming to put the girl in her place as quickly as possible. Drawing back after her strike against the Ghoul, Setsuko once again took up a quick stance, catching her breath. It came to no surprise that the girl wasn't exactly the best when it came to physical confrontation; she was going to find herself winded very quickly if she wasn't careful. As the wounds Adelina left began to patch up, she stared down the girl, waiting for her next move. "Not bad," she spoke rather monotonously. { Stats, Traits, & Weapons} - Strength: B-Rank

- DurableMinor - A Character with this Trait is more durable than the average ghoul or human they would be compared to. While most characters can sustain up to their Resilience + 1 C-Rank wound before dying/passing out, this character now requires Resilience + 1 B-Rank wound before dying/passing out.
- Ghost in the MachineMajor - A Character with this Trait is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled with technology of all kinds. When looking to repair, tamper with, create, or otherwise interact with electronics, or when reciting information about electronics, this Character is able to do so flawlessly, and up to thrice as fast when compared to someone commercially trained in doing so. Costs associated with doing so are reduced by 10%, not stacking with any other benefits.
{ Kagune} RC Type: Koukaku (+Resilience, -Speed) Kagune Description:Setsuko's Kagune takes the shape of a riot-shield of sorts. The mass of the Kagune itself coils around her left arm, and spreads out upon reaching mid-way down her forearm. Keeping up the same blood red color most Kagune tend to have, Setsuko's is no different. In place of a sort of glass barrier that would normally be on the shield, a cross-hatched pattern of the same Kagune-steel material is there instead, still offering Setsuko a strong amount of sight through the shield, while protecting her face against a fair amount of oncoming attacks against her. Kagune Traits:- Sturdy - A Weapon with this Trait is exceptionally sturdy when compared to others. While manifested, the user's Resilience is treated as one Rank higher than usual (on top of Kagune bonuses if applicable) for the purposes of Kagune Durability, but this weapon, under any circumstances, cannot be used for an attack.

Adelina's initial assault, if nothing else, would show that she was not opposed to getting up close and personal. After feinting the first blow, it seemed that her plan would work. Using her Kagune to practically trip the girl, Setsuko lurched forward. As the Half-Ghoul turned around, Adelina continued to press the assault. Her knee would rise upward to strike Setsuko. Digging into the girls' abdomen and chest, Adelina would be suprised to see that the Half-Ghoul withstood the blow.
Her eyes widened as Setsuko used the opportunity to strike at the Ukaku ghoul. Twisting her back to the side, Adelina's bright yellow forewing brought itself between the girls. Even so, as Setsuko's fist crashed against her Kagune, Adelina winced ever so slightly. Despite her penchant for CQC, her physical strength left much to be desired. The force of Setsuko's blow left Adelina skidding backward a few feet.
The force left Adelina's muscles a little sore. Her Kagune, meanwhile, had sustained some light bruising and bled ever so slightly. Taking a deep breath, her body recuperated itself. The bleeding around her scapula stopped and her muscles didn't feel sore anymore. Her Kagune, unfortunately, needed some tending to but she couldnt' dwell on the negative. Their short skirmish had shown Adelina one thing. Setsuko was slow. It was something she could potentially exploit. Also... the girl had chosen not to manifest her Kagune yet. Either she was arrogant or cautious. Perhaps a mix of both?
"Not bad," The first two words that had escaped Setsuko's lips in a while had Adelina squint at her for a moment. It was monotone. Without passion. Adelina's scarlet iris burned even more brightly at those words. "Not bad, huh?" She stretched for a moment and took a more aggressive stance. "I'll show you.." Exploding forward in a fantastic display of speed once more, Adelina sought to close the distance. This time, however, her strategy would be a little different. '
About 3 ft away from Setsuko, Adelina suddenly took a low-profile stance. Curing her Kagune downward somewhat, covering herself as if it were a bunker, her wings suddenly let out a hail of crystal shards. Being a skill widely known to be unique to Ukaku ghouls, it would likely be no suprise that Adelina could do this. However, her superior speed would likely keep Setsuko on her toes. Whether Setsuko moved or not didn't matter to Adelina. She simply wanted to see Setsuko struggle enough to bring out her Kagune.
In light of that goal, Adelina moved after the initial volley, attempting to get a few feet to the side of Setsuko. Once more, she'd unleash a second volley of deadly crystals. Was this perhaps a little overkill? Absolutely. Did she love it regardless? You better believe it. If she was going to show the Aogiri Operative her mettle, Adelina couldn't pull any punches. She needed to push this Half-Ghoul to her limit. She had to show that she wasn't just going to be toyed around with!

Reeling from her own strikes against the Ghoul, and taking a second to recuperate in tune, Setsuko took time to see just what her punch had done to the girl in front of her. As she spoke her words, taking up another stance, it seemed that Adelina's demeanor had almost changed. Perhaps she was made upset? Angry? She couldn't quite tell, but that didn't matter in the moment. She needed to get ready for what was to come. And come, it did. Bursting forth with what looked to be newfound speed, Adelina rocketed toward her a good deal faster than she could reasonably hope to intercept. Taking the first shower of shards with little issue, Setsuko prepared for what was coming next with an appropriate countermeasure as suited for someone of her ability. That countermeasure? Simple; sit there and fuckin' take it like a champ. As Adelina once again rotated around the girl, Setsuko reeled from the variety of shards currently sticking out of her body with a huff. While it wasn't exactly the most worthwhile experience all things considered, she had no problem simply doing what she could in order to take the hits; she'd be all right. She'd make sure of that fact. And, once again, more shards hit the girl's skin with surprising force. Piercing through her body with relative ease, Setsuko took a deep breath in order to steel herself as best she could through it all. It didn't seem to be the worst of problems, thankfully, and wasn't going to be difficult for the girl to fully-recover from. "Is that all?" Setsuko asked back, taking a fist and slamming it down in front of her. As her arm flew down in a pseudo-cutting motion, shards that still stuck out from her chest cracked off and shattered, sending little splinters flying from the girl's body. Taking another deep breath to steel herself for a moment, and turning to face the Ghoul, her wounds had already patched themselves up properly. Furrowing her brow, and once again assuming a fighting stance, Setsuko spoke once more. "Got to say, I expected more."Rushing toward the girl as fast she could, Setsuko pulled an arm back, and once again sought to throw a haymaker toward her foe. Similar to before, without the aid of her kagune. Such just wasn't needed in the fight, and would only work to slow her down. That wasn't something she was going to deal with if she could help it, that was for sure. {Combat Statistics}
